Mmmmm . . . the type where people lie to each other, or don't talk things out, I guess. Or go behind one another's backs! That's what I'm trying not to do here. I know too many people who've had to go through misery in love because they didn't just have a conversation. It's the stupidest thing I've ever seen! Well, not that I don't get it. I know if I'd tried dating a year ago or whatever, I'd have pulled that same kind of thing. But I've learned by bad examples!

That really happens that often? What kind of conversations are they avoiding?

Oh, stuff like "I've been in love with you for years but I can't just say it so you think I might actually hate you" or "we're getting married and I don't want to have a big party but I assume you do and I want you to have anything you want even if I hate it, so I'm hiding in the other room from our guests," you know, that kind of thing. Those are just two examples!

...That does seem pretty serious... But I guess I do see how someone would end up in a situation like that.

Mm, me too! Me too. I have to try hard to fight back the part of me that also totally gets how someone could end up in those situations, but I think I'm doing all right so far.
