ACTUAL INFO, LIKE FOR REAL

i.e. wtf is this character, what is my character even interacting with here?? YOU WANT ME TO READ A WHOLE FANDOM WIKI THAT MAKES NO SENSE TO AN OUTSIDER, you ask?! This is fair, and I want to help you here. The quick answer is "he is a magical alien cartoon spider". But here are some more specific questions that you might want answered.

What do you mean magical alien cartoon spider??

- pings like both a spider and an insect, actually. he is an alien species with qualities of both
- a little under 2 feet tall, and very light to carry
- 8 eyes: 2 white ones with eyelids on the front of his face, 2 hard yellow eyes with NO eyelids above those, 4 of the yellow eyes on the back of his head
- two orange/yellow horns and fangs
- six hands, none of which are attached to his body
- no legs at all! he is just floating over the ground, and has no wings or other obvious way of doing so.
- but also a head of silvery hair that is just normal hair.
- in Heckin Game, the point at the top of his hair is a silvery-white feather crest instead.

With so many eyes, can he see something behind/above him?
Yes. It is not immediately visually obvious that this is the case, but sneaking up on him will be a challenge.

If he is so tiny, is he looking up at everyone to converse with them?
No, he can float. He is going to float in conversational range unless otherwise specified. No need to make your character bend or crouch down to be on his level.

How does he fly? Or control his hands if they are not attached to him?
Magic. He has to extend concentration and some effort to fly very high, or extend his hands very far from himself. If you grab one of his hands and run far away with it, it will feel Wrong for him once it's out of his sight, and he will lose his ability to control it remotely. But, mostly it's just Kirby magic and you shouldn't think about it too hard. Contact me if you have a weird specific question about it, I guess?!

Why is his color scheme more purple in some icons?
That's an AU where he is under a corruptive influence at the time and it changed his color scheme. He is not purple usually. I just like the icons.

Is this tiny spider alien a CHILD??? Should I censor SENSITIVE TOPICS around him?
No, he is fully adult for his species, and he has probably committed spider war crimes. He may well be flustered by things, in the way that some adults are sometimes flustered by sensitive topics, but do not worry that you are exposing a minor to something inappropriate, or whatever. Of course, feel free to have your character ICly assume that he is a cute mascot character who has never done anything sinful in his life.

What if I don't want to have those conversations with a Kirby character on an OOC level, though?
Feel free to PM me to opt out of anything lol, including playing with him at all. I respect your boundaries and appreciate the heads up, because otherwise I'm just gonna jump people and hope they like it, yolo.

What is the deal with him in a plot sense?
Backtracking to spider war crimes,,, Taranza is a villain in his initial appearance. He is a noble from a greedy and vain society of parasites, and he is known as the Master of Puppetry for his prowess in controlling things and people, body and mind. He spent years supporting his Queen in her quest for world domination. Fortunately for the world, Kirby lives there, and that queen died spectacularly. Unfortunately for Taranza, he was obsessively in love with her, and so his redemption involves a lot of depression and grief. But, he is only a villain when he gets brainwashed nowadays.

wow "Master of Puppetry" seems like you should probably powercap him huh
POWERS AND POWER NERFING IS GOING TO BE ITS WHOLE OTHER SECTION AFTER THIS SECTION BECAUSE IT IS A WHOLE CAN OF WORMS ON ITS OWN. DO NOT WORRY

What is his personality in the present day?
A lot of time has passed since his conquering days, both in canon and in his previous RP. He is committed to being a productive member of broader society, and he is moving on from past traumatic experiences and losses. He is still a bit haughty and thoughtlessly judgmental, and doesn't shy away entirely from underhanded means. But he is actually a decently nice person, who is a little nerdy, loves flowers and beautiful things, and wants to help people and make friends. He is reflexively anxious about his image and how other people perceive him, but he's clumsy and earnest enough that he can't keep a strong façade up for long. He hasn't completely cured himself of the desire to be an evil minion, but he is a lot more self-aware, about how that might end poorly.

What should I know about him as a PGAU?
He has experienced this "jamjar" thing before, and humans and culture shock are not new to him anymore. He's familiar with more of human culture than he would be in canon. He is used to RP events like dream sharing, truth effects, etc. etc. He has come further on his journey into becoming a real independent person. He has a boyfriend now, who is also a Kirby character, so he has transplanted some of his obsessive tendencies there. Otherwise, he is mostly the same! His previous game was pretty sandboxy and he did not interact with any NPCs or plot.

POWERS (AND THE NERFING THEREOF)

I'll go through the list of what he can do normally, and note where it is different in Heckin Game. The powercap is more of a boon for me, OOCly, since now I don't have to deal with his weird inexplicable Kirby powers except to the degree I feel like it. Since he does not have ankles to wear a house arrest device on, I'll figure out a tattoo or an alternative for him.

Puppeting Inanimate Objects
Using his magic spider thread, he can move things around without directly touching them. He can manipulate them with fine movements, as "puppetry" implies. He can also carry things that are much heavier than him this way! Under powercap, I'll probably just make it so that he can carry about as much as a strong human can, and no more than that.

Animating Inanimate Objects
I don't feel like dealing with this and it's obscure how he does this anyway, so I'm powercapping it. It's GONE!!! good BYE!!!

Puppeting People Mentally
Any kind of mind control is going to be powercapped to the barest minimum possible. If you EXPLICITLY OPT IN, then he will be able to implant suggestions into your character's mind, that they will have the power to follow or ignore. Otherwise, his mental intrusion just bounces off completely.

Puppeting People Physically
I'm keeping this power more intact, but he's still not going to use it very often. He has the ability to puppet people's bodies in the same way he puppets inanimate objects, using magic threads. This will only EVER be used with explicit OOC consent from PCs.

Passive Mental Parasitism
Usually, he feeds off of people's psychic energy at all times and makes them more susceptible to mental meddling. However, I'm powercapping it 100%, so he isn't doing that anymore. Phew!

Accelerating Growth/Power in Living Things
He uses this both to strengthen people that he is controlling, and to help grow plants. Since he won't be mentally controlling anyone except in extreme opt-in circumstances, boosting their powers is also severely nerfed. He can still grow plants since the plants are NPCs, but the speed and efficacy of those powers will be less OP. Growing a tree (for example) will completely exhaust him and all his magical reserves now.

Magical Spider Webs
He can use his magic webs in more mundane ways than controlling people/things. He can tie people up in them! He can spread webs to use as trampolines! I am going to powercap this by saying that it takes a lot longer than "instantaneously" for the webs to wrap around anyone/anything. The threads will also be more breakable than they usually are. So if you want your character to escape restraint, they'll have the opportunity! Or we can roll for it or w/e.

Dark Energy Attacks
He can attack with balls of dark energy or put himself as the center of a blast of it! This doesn't do anything special except kinda hurt in a vague way, so sure, he can have those.

Lightning Magic
He can also zap people with lightning. It's Kirby, so no one is ever hurt all that much by the lightning in canon. With the powercap, you too can be zapped by lightning, and it won't hurt you all that much!

Kirby Character Durability
Speaking of, Kirby characters can take a lot of abuse and recover from it without it bothering them much. For the most part I'm keeping this, but it will take him longer to recover than usual, and serious attacks will still be serious. I am not going to say "he just got shot but it mostly just stings lol." unless it is funny and all ooc parties are agreed that it is funny

any other random thing I forgot
WELL I GUESS HE DOESN'T HAVE IT ANYMORE THEN!! POWERCAP'D!! or else I will come back and add it later, but this is the major stuff.

ANYTHING ELSE?

if this is not comprehensive enough, please feel free to ask and I will answer and/or update this post accordingly
